LOWER WATER LOSS AND SELF-DISCHARGE RATE COMPARED WITH SB/SB TYPES
WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE, GOOD WITHSTANDING OF HIGH UNDER-THE-HOOD HEAT
TOLERANCE FOR A WIDE RANGE OF CHARGING CURRENT (TO 25% OF THE BATTERY’S CAPACITY) AND VOLTAGE
HIGHER DEEP DISCHARGE TOLERANCE COMPARED WITH PURE CA/CA
In a hybrid battery negative electrodes are made of lead-calcium expanded metal providing low water loss and self-discharge. Positive electrodes are made of low antimony lead alloy able to withstand deep discharge. Hybrid batteries are considered a balanced cost-effective solution to wide range of conditions by providing a combination of advantages of both low antimony and calcium exmet technologies, counterbalancing the respective disadvantages of pure low antimony and calcium batteries. AKTEX was the first producer in CIS to realize the benefits of hybrid Ca+ technology for CIS market conditions.
